Web Site History

I started building this web site late in August 2001 as an aside interest to my developing affection for my dog Saffy and have continued adding and improving on it since. The goal of the site is simple; to focus and share with those interested in the Staffordshire Bull Terrier breed.

This site was created using a combination of PHP, DHTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Macromedia Shockwave Flash, Actionscript, and some basic CGI. Everything is hand-coded and optimized for various screen resolutions, connection speeds, and settings. In addition, I am highly proficient in Photoshop and made extensive use of this tool in regards to graphic and photographic manipulation. The design and layout of this site is intended to be contemporary, clear, organized, and easily navigable.

The 'staffordbullterriers.com' domain name was registered on June 7, 2002 and all current traffic is now routed through that name. Despite the time this site has been up I have only recently been promoting it.

This site makes no money and is solely maintained, funded, and operated by Saffy and me, the creators.
